Brianna and Nick are high school sweethearts who tied the Knot in September. When Brianna was in high school, she and her mom took a day trip to Rhode Island which included a tour of Newport’s Rosecliff Mansion. Brianna immediately fell in love with historic estate with opulent gates, gilded architecture, gold chandeliers, European gardens and the famous heart shaped staircase. They chose a date in early September. A beautiful month where it’s still summery with much less humidity to contend with. Both the bride and groom got ready at the Hotel Viking, another historic building with unique guest rooms. They were married at St. Mary’s Church in Bristol, RI by Father Barry. I adore Father Barry and love his wedding ceremonies inside a beautiful, pink cathedral. Before heading to Rosecliff Mansion for the evening, we made a quick stopover at the Marble House Mansion for a few couple’s portraits. When you have a Rosecliff Mansion wedding, part of your rental agreement includes an hour of photography at one of Rosecliff’s sister properties: Marble House, The Elms or Chateau-sur-Mer. These do need to be reserved in advance and the wonderful people at the Preservation Society of Newport County will guide you through the process. I loved covering this fairytale wedding with glamorous details, classic florals and each piece of the wedding planned to perfection. Congratulations Bri & Nick!
