I was recently contacted by a longtime client of mine who was helping her son plan his surprise proposal in Newport, RI. I love photographing marriage proposals! They are like running a covert operation with my camera. Capturing a proposal is quite the thrilling adventure! Once the question has been asked, I’m not sure who is more relived: me or the person proposing marriage to their beloved! Lots of planning and coordination goes on behind-the-scenes so that the actual moment goes off without a hitch. The rain tampered off in the mid-afternoon which gave us beautiful, soft light in the evening. We even got a pop of warm sunlight for a few. Besides having a front-row seat to a once-in-a-lifetime moment for a couple, I got to pet an Aussie! One of my personal favorite breeds as I also have a red merle mini Aussie who I adore. The dog was part of the “cover story” that went into setting this amazing proposal up. Congratulations!
