October at the Glen Manor House

Nov 18, 2015

Patricia & Chris planned a festive Fall wedding at the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, RI. I love photographing Fall weddings in environments where the trees are in all their pumpkin spice glory! Tricia actually wanted an overcast day for colors like these! In all my years, that was a first to hear one of my brides wish for cloudy skies. Tricia knew that cloud covered skies would lend for soft light and make the fall foliage pop in her images. She was a big fan of my work and pulled several locations from my portfolio she wanted for her own images. Great communication all around. Their friends and family were a complete blast and knew how to party! There were gorgeous details and fun surprises all day. Thanks for having me!

An authentic moment with mom just seconds before walking down the aisle of St. Joseph’s Church in Newport, RI https://www.stjosephsnewport.org/
I had very special permission by the priest for this angle!
As we were walking up from the dock at the Glen, I looked up and saw our adorable ringbearers in the windows of the second floor! Whoa!! They got inside safely, not to worry!
The bride’s father played a special song on the Glen’s piano that is a permanent fixture in the ballroom.
Tricia was a very organized bride and had everything planned down to the smallest detail. However, Chris and her bridal party surprised her when they passed out these string lights when Coldplay’s “Yellow” came on. Another sentimental song for the couple. A beautiful moment to witness!
