Rachel & Alex planned a beautiful April wedding at the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, RI. While I have photographed at the Glen Manor many times in the past, I’ve never had the privilege of photographing an April wedding amongst the magnificent magnolias and multi colored tulips. These are special flowers and trees only April couples have on their big days! I could not get over the pink and white petals of this stunning tree. Rachel wore a classic, minimalistic gown that fit her perfectly and carried a petite bouquet of daisies. Alex wore emerald green cufflinks that were a family heirloom. The couple opted to have First Look and take the majority of their portraits in advance of the ceremony as to enjoy their cocktail hour and reception with guests. Their Jewish wedding ceremony featured a chuppah (or wedding canopy) custom built by a family member of the bride. Guests enjoyed a friendly game of corn hole with customized boards. The evening kicked off with dinner and dancing with the ballroom doors open to let in comfortable Spring air. There’s something special about Spring weddings. Renewal and anticipation are the words the come to mind. Congratulations Rachel & Alex!
